The Oamaru Jockey Club's Summer .Meeting; was opened at Mingatui today in thick, driving rain, which made tlie going heavy, but it cleared during the afternoon. The tote handled PI-2,075V for the day compared with £10,025 at the October meeting (on a fine” day) on the Oamaru course. The Waipa races were held to-dav in fine though overcast weather. The course was in excellent condition, and the attendance was good. Results: Hudles.—(4) Highflown 1.
