Details are arriving from Cnnton, showing the vengeance of the anti-So-viets. following the retaking of the City and the punishment which was meted out to Russians who directed the uprising. Canton streets are littered with corpses, and Communist revolters’ goods. Trucks loaded with bodies, moved to the country, testifying to the ruthless slaughter by the Government Officers. Carts piled high with bodies made a procession through the streets. The Cantonese leader denounced the Russian conspiracy which is responsible for the appalling scones of devastation, and demand that the Russians he driven out of the country. It is officially rel>orted a thousand were killed af the retaking of the city, in which Chinese gunboats were prominent.
