DISTRICT HANDICAP (In harness), of 70 sovs., second horse to receive 14 sovs., and third horso 7 sovs., from trie stake. For horses which have been in one of the Counties of Duller, Inangahua, Grey or Westland, or any West Const Borough, for at least three months immediately prior to the race and owned by residents of the said | Counties or Boroughs. Horses will handicapped to do 3.10 or better. Nomination, 20s; acceptance, 30s. One and a-quarter miles. 2. —KANIERI HANDICAP, (In harness), of 80 sovs., second horse to receive 16 sovs., and third horse S sovs. from tho stake. Horses in this event will be handicapped to do 2.30 or better. Nomination, 20s; acceptance, 30s. One mile. 3. —RiMO GOLDFIELDS HANDICAP, (In Saddle), 80 sovs., second horse to receive 16 sovs., and third horse 8 sovs. from the stake. For unhoppled trotters only. Horses in this event will be handicapped to do 3.57 or better. Nomination, 20s ; acceptance, 30s. One and a-half miles. 4. WESTLAND TROTTING CLUB HANDICAP, (In Harness), 140 sovs., and Silver Cup to be presented by the Hokitika Licensed Victuallers, second horse to receive 28 sovs., and third horse 14 sovs. from the stake. Horses will he handicapped to do 4.56 or better. Nomination, 30s; acceptance, 50s. Two miles. 5. STAFFORD HANDICAP, (In Saddle), of 80 sovs., second horse to receive 16 sovs., and third horse 8 sovs. from the stake. Horses will be handicapped to do 3.7 or better. Nomination, 20s; acceptance 30s. One and a-quarter miles. 6. —DOMINION TROTTERS’ HANDICAP, (In Harness), 90 sovs., second horse to receive 18 sovs., and j third horse 9 sovs. from tho stake. For unhoppled trotters only.
