W. JEFFRIES AND CO.’S REPORT. At yesterday’s fixture in the above yards there was an entry of 119 sheep and 70 head of cattle. The usual attendance was present and competition was brisk throughout the sale with prices in keeping with this time of the year. Heavy beef was easier from 2s to 4s per hundred while prime medium sorts showed no falling off. Sheep on the other hand sold extremely well. The following range of prices was recorded. Heavy ox from 32s 6d to 38s, medium weight prime ox 35s to 40's, heifer beef from 28s 6d to 37s 6d. cow 'beef from 25s to 335. A pen of extra prime shorn wethers from Poerua Bun made £2 3s lid each. We sold as follows:—On account of Messrs Nolan Bros. 24 wethers at 85s, 4 ewes at 29s (id, 22 owes at 28s; oil account Poerua Bun 19 shorn wethers at €2 3s fid. 59 shorn hoggets at 255; on account of IT.
