Packed with wild dancing, strong dramatic [innches, beautiful tropical scenery, and great acting by fine cast, which includes Percy Marmont, Warner HasteJtilanne Johnstone and William Powell, it promises to be the film sensation of the year. If we are to believe advance reports, Hilda as the benutiu! native dancing girl, is as good on the screen as on the stage. She, “ A luma,” is loved by the pearl diver. “ Xuitnno.” " Hob Holden,” a dissolute young man comes to the South Sens to forgot his having been jilted by “ Sylvia.” Ids Society sweetheart. “ Hob ” starts on the downard path, until “Aloma,” who is very much attracted to him. shows him the right way to go. Then—- ‘‘ Sylvia ” appears on the scene—and the dramatic struggle between the two women for the man they love is a thing of dramatic emotion. Maurice Tourner directed “Aloma of the South Seas.” It was adapted by James Creel man from llymcr and Clemons’ stage success of the same name.
A very good supporting programme will also lie shown to-night, including the latest in topicnsl and a two-reel comedy. On Monday next. Universal’s big special “ Prisoners of the Storm,” starring House Peters, will be presented.
