The reading at 9 a.m. to-day waij 29.9(5—falling. ,f TAe reading, at 9 a.m. yesterday was 29.94—rising. The reading on the dial printed below was taken at 12 noon to-day.

UNION COMPANY’S LINE

The Kaituna was due at Greymouth last night from Auckland and after discharging inward cargo loads coal for the same port, completing her loading at Westport. The Waipori is loading coal and timber at Greymouth for Miramar and Wellington, sailing this afternoon. The Kamona is due at Greymouth tomorrow morning from Wellington to load coal for the same port, also coal cßiil a quantity of poles for Napier. The Poolta is due at Greymouth about the end of the week from Dunedin to load timber for Sydney and Newcastle. The Putiki is due at Greymouth early next week to load coal for Gisborne. The Kartigi is expected to arrive at Greymouth about the 12th prox. to load timber for Melbourne, contingent on the present trouble with the wateraiders in Australia being satisfactorily ended.
