CHINESE TROUBLE.

Stories of Red terrorism in the Hoifung district were confirmed by Bishop A’altorta, Vicar Apostolic, who states he has been informed by many refugees reaching Hongkong that in the small town of Cipseng over six hundred were massacred, apart from other places. A ghastly procession termed the Red triumph, carried their victims heads from, Cipseng to Hoifung. Amongst the victims there were some very old and distinguished Chinese. A scholar before being slaughtered, was subjected to torture, his nose haling been cut off and his cal's pierced. Similar outrages were perpetrated in numerous localities, the particulars being revolting. Red spies are everywhere earning a dollar a day lor. then services, whilst tlio murderers of anticommunists secure a reward of ten dollars for each victim.
