MR AMERY ON TOUR

NEW PLYMOUTH, Nov. 25. Mr Atnery and party lett Mount Egmont mountain house at 4.30 tliis morning and by 7.30 had reached about 7000 feet, when the guides advised turning hack on account of the treacherous nature of the snow ancl high wind. Had time permitted, the summit could havo been reached. Good views were obtained and the t climb enjoyed. The partyl returned to town and left by train for Wanganui. ________
