TWO MORE BODIES

[Australian & N.Z. Cable Association.]

SYDNEY, Nov. 2-1

When the Greycliffe inquiry was resumed to-day. Mr Justice Campbell granted an application to adjourn till the return of the steamer Tahiti to Sydney on December 28th.

Mr Holman, supporting the application, said it was desirable that the Tahiti’s captain and chief engineer should he heard by the Court before the latter came to its finding. Doctor Brissonden said the Union Company was anxious to ]>l ace all its evidence before the Court, as it presumed the finding would involve an inference of censure on somebody.

Mr Justice Campbell explained that the Court’s finding would he in the nature of a report. It was not his duty to apportion blame. There would he no penalty except as regards inferences which may be drawn. A diver to-day recovered the body of another victim : Edmund Conner, of Watson’s Bay, from the Greycliffe wreck. Later a diver located a second body in the wreck, hut so far was unable to extricate it.
