The prohibition party, through its policy of extracting pledges from Parliamentary candidates, has undoubtedly won a notable success, and there is in possibility' of the country being asked to vote on two issues, with a bare majority deciding. This possibility, and all that, it means, should be considered very carefully by the public, and especially Jby moderate opinion. —Auckland “Star.”
