A Transport Department. The Premier gave an assurance to a deputation that the State would pay the petrol tax like all other consumers. The position as regards roads demanded something like emergency measures. If the position were not faced the Government would he charged with neglect of duty. He had set up a small committee, which had already tabulated much valuable information, and he would ho glad of any assistance from the deputation. In short, the idea of a Transport Ministry was being followed up.
