The second stage of the M'angnratta to Bendigo 150 miles race resulted:— 11. Opperiiian. 8 hours 15 minutes N seconds, 1. 11. Afood.v. 8 hours 30 minutes 32 seconds, 2. P. Osborn, ,8 hours 57 minutes 30 seconds, 3 D. Anderson, 8 hours, 57 minutes 30 seconds, 1. Opporinan lost eight minutes through a hill and a puncture. He took the lead at 111) miles. Iho New Zealanders M atson and Ronnie won the first stage of the teams race, time 21.23.5. Opperman, .Moody and Osborne led at the thirtysix miles, Watson being fourth. Alnchinc trouble hailed Watson and Rennie at the thirteenth. Watson at the eighteenth, and at the sixty-eight miles, where Moody led. Opperman and Al.oodv held the lead at the ninetymiles, with Osborn next, then Watson and Opperman, who streaked away the last ten miles and won well from .Moody. A great- race lor third place ended in Osborn’s favour, Ronnie was sixth and Matson seventh. A great reception was accorded ()p----perman, who was complimented by Councillor Nicholson, of Bendigo. For the first two stages, Opperman is first, leading AYatson, who is second, by 4 1 minutes 53 1-5 seconds.
