PRESBYTERIAN ASSEMBLY
(By Telegraph—Per Tress Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Nov. 17. . At the annual session of the General Assembly of tho Presbyterian Shurch of New Zealand, the report stated:—“The total membership has reached 50,798, a net gain fob the year of 1918 or 3.9 per rent addition lo last year's re!]. The church has clearly won hack to its normal rate of pre-war increase. The report ol the finanace committee stated that tho treasurer, Rev. W. J. Comrie, had stated his intention to ask the Assembly to relieve him of his duties as general treasurer at the end of 1928. In view of his statement and of other changes known to he pending, the committee recommended the Assembly to set up a representative committee to consider the whole question of committee and officers oi the Assembly. The debate was adjourned.
