A new development in the FnllSinelair case and subsequent jury tampering charges occurred when .Justice Siddons appointed a committee of three members of the bar to investigate activities leading to his recent declaration of a mistrial and to institute criminal proceedings against the guilty if the findings so warrant. The Judgo’s action is taken as indicating proceedings for (contempt of the court, likely to bo taken against a number of persons allegedly involved. The United States Attorney, Gordon; who has been leading the Govinvestigation of the alleged jury tampering is included in the committee. Meantime Detective Burns and Son await further questioning before the Grand Jury.

SUIT AGAINST HENRY FORD NEW YORK, Nov. 15.

A message from Pontiac, Michigan, state two thousand stockholders in the old Lincoln Motor Car Coy are suing •Ford for six million dollars, alleging ho failed to keep a verbal promise to buy their stock, when ho bought the company from the Federal Court Receiver in 1922. The suit was filed by Henry Delland and his son Wilfred. LellnntT was president and vice-president respectively of the original Lincoln firm, who were granted power of attorney by the stockholders to proceed against Ford. The complaint alleged Ford bought out holla nd after a period of business depression and agreed to co-operate with tho elder Lolland in reorganising the corporation, but instead, it is alleged, Ford bought out the other stockholders giving him control of the company and lie then repudiated nil agreements both with Lellands anil with tho minority stockholders.

AN ALTITUDE RECORD. (Received this day at 11.0 a.m.) WASHINGTON, Nov. 15. The National Aeronautic Association officially credited Captain Gray with the world’s altitude record in a recent balloon flight which cost him his life. The Bureau of Standard calibrated the instruments informed tlie Association that Gray rose 42,470 feet before be accidentally cut the oxygen tube which kept him alive. The Association will ask the International Aeronautic Federation also to accept the record.
