A further unemployment- demonstration occurred to-day. About two hundred marched to the Premier’s office, where they demanded an interview with Mr Bavin, hut in vain.

The police refused to allow more than one man to enter. The men then made a rush, and attempted to force their way in, hut after a struggle the police succeeded in dispersing the demonstrators.

A split in the Victorian Parliamentary Labour Party threatens the existence of the Government. A number of Labour mendiers signed a' round robin asking for a special meeting of the Caucus to-morrow, to review the legislation proposed hy the Cabinet, particularly in relation to income tax.

DUTCH .MIGRANTS. (Received this day at 10.25 a.m.) SYDNEY. Nov. 15. To test emigration to Australia of specially selected Dutch farmers, the Netherlands Government lias arranged with the Commonwealth Government for the condition requiring migrants to have LHO sterling on landing to he waived in favour of two hundred Dutch farmers every year. In return the Consul-General has furnished a bond that these settlers will not become a charge on Australia for three months after landing. The age limit for migrants has been fixed between 20 and 30 and they must have a working knowledge of the English language.
