PRESENTATION TO LINDBERGH
(Received this day at 11.0 am.) WASHINGTON, Nov. 14. President Coolidge presented Captain Lindbergh with the Hubhnrd medal at a. luncheon given to numerous oceanic flyers. AAIEIUCAN STORM. NEW YORK, Nov. 11. The known dead are fourteen, and live hundred injured. It is believed the other bodies buried under the wreckage are numerous. Homes and buildings were scattered over one mile in area. GILES STARTS TO-MORROW. SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. I t. Giles announced that he will hop off to-morrow, weather permitting. SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 14. Workmen are preparing a run-way for Giles. It is possible he will take off on Tuesday. The plane has been pronounced perfect mechanically. The Government bureau reports the Pacific weather is favourable. Provisions and fuel are on the field. Kingsford Smith’s plane at Monica (California) is preparing to leave for San Francisco. The date of the take off is not announced.
