Play on Hie howling green on Saturday had just- starteil, when a lightrain began to fall. Though one rink kept going for a. few heads, a heavier shower drove them then into the pavilion and continuing, play ended for the afternoon. Before dispersing afternoon lea was kindly supplied hy Mesdnmes I’arkhill and Benjamin. Several competitions are arranged for the eiisuiug week. To-night two teams contest the right to hold the Bruce measures—Messrs Tliiem. Cooke, Conning and Hayward v. Messrs Cullman, Adams. C. .). King and Stevenson. On Wednesday afternoon for the Morton Eonthers, [day commencing at o.ltt) p.ni. .Messrs J. King, Bruce, Breeze and Benjamin play Messrs I Lolfiuanil, Coliman, Conning and Stevenson. On Tuesday evening for the Ferns C'ooko and partner play foies and Ward.
