(By Telegraph—Per Press Association.) SENTENCES. PALMERSTON N. Nov. 10. At the Supreme Court, George Cunningham, a middle-aged man, for theft from a dwelling at Bulls, was sentenced to three months’ hard. Michael Hannah, 23, who pleaded guilty to breaking and entering an office at the railway deviation with intent to commit a crime, was sentenced to a years’ hard labour. Counsel for accused, entering a plea for leniency, said the prisoner was not alone in the transaction. He was merely a tool in the whole matter. The evidence in thlower court disclosed another man and indicated he or somebody else gave information to the police. It looked as if the prisoner was not only a tool, bin a fool.
