Australian it N.Z. Cable Association.) RADIO FOR SMALL SHIPS. (Received this day at 10.15 a.m.) WASHINGTON, Nov. 9. Mr Gibbs informed the Australian Press Association that the Mobile Servee Committee of the Radio Conference had agreed that small coastal ships trading exclusively on the New Zealand coast may be operated by officers holding special radio certificates from the Now Zealand Government, such ships not to participate in (general communications, hut to carry wireless as a safety precaution.
