LICENSING ACT

On charges of living unlawfully on licensed premises after hours, one defendant (Pioneer Hotel) was fined 20s mid costs 10s; another (Masonic Hotel) was ordered to pay costs 10s. DEFENCE ACT. For failure to attend drill conviction were recorded and fines inflicted as follows: —H. Staines 10s and costs 12s: F. It. Hall 10s and costs 12s; A. G. Greanev 20s and costs 12s; Stanley Dale to pay costs 12s; H. G. Broadbent 20s and costs 12s. CIVIL CASES.

All the civil cases called were either settled or adjourned.
