A WEIRD STORY.
BEHLIX September 7. A strange incident is reported from Bromberg, n town in that part of Pros sinn Poland which was restored to Poland by the Treaty of Vcrsailes. A landowner named Foltnski sent his wife niul children to a forester’s lodge while lie stayed in Bromberg to transact business. On one of the last nights !/f the stay lie heard the telephone hell ringing loud and continuously. and answered it. He heard his wife’s voice say: ‘‘Henry come at once and take the children away. imagined somebody was playing a trick on him. A few minutes later ho rang up the exchange and asked whenee came the cal!. T'ie telephonist informed him that lie had connected nobody with liis house. Herr Foltnnski waited in considerable anxiety until 8 o’clock, when a car drove up and the chauffeur said he had come to take the hu.sTiand to the forester’s ledge, where his wile had died in the night. Although apparently in robust health, (Frau 'Foltanaki -had 'had a heart attack and died half an hoar later. She realised she was dying and said she saw her children weeping at her grave and wished she could speak to her husband on the teleph'no. Her wish could not he complied with as the nearest telephone was eight miles rwav. The police, who have made strict inquiries, are convinced that nobody let the forreste-r’s lodge before 6 a.m
