THE COUNCIL

WELLINGTON, Nov. 5. The Legislative Council met at 2.3, P The Shops and Offices Amendment Bill. Fertilisers’ Bill, Introduction o Plants Bill and Alining Amendment Bill were put through the final stages and passed. The Council adjourned at 4.50 until 3.30 p.m. on Tuesday.

THE HOUSE. In the House of Representatives the whole of the sitting was occupied with discussing the Public Works Statement and then passed estimates aggregating £8.713.250 without a debate.

The House rose at 2.30 a.m. till < .3on Monday.
