A very quiet hut pretty wedding was celebrated at the Catholic Cathedral, Christchurch on Wednesday last. October 20th. The contracting parties were Irene. the l youngest daughter 'l*

Mr .1. and the late Mrs Condon of MnhTtahi. and Lawrence, second son of Mr and Mrs I . Williams. of W elicka. Rev. father O’Doherty of 'Ross, performed the ceremony and celebrated nuptial mass. The bride who entered the church on the arm of her brother (William) looked charming in a cream satin frock trimmed with silver lac l . She also wore a wreath and veil and carried a bouquet of lilies of the valley, with cream streamers. Miss Kitty Condon who attended her sister as bridesmaid wore -a becoming frock of mauve georgette with hat to match and carried a lwiuqiiet of beautiful flowers. Mr Pat Williams carried out the duties of best iiKtn. After the ceremony the bridal party retired to the Lilac Lounge Tea Rooms, where the usual toasts were honoured. The newly married couple afterwards left for Wellington on route for Sydney where the honeymoon will he spent. The bride travelled in a violet repp bolora suit with hat to I match. The happy couple were reci--pients of many congratulatory wires, and the presents were both costly and numerous.
