ARAHI’RA FAT STOCK SALE. .Messrs Al. Houston and Co: —At the fortnightly sale at the above yards yest.rda.v our entry consisted of 20 fat sheep and -It) head ol lat cattle, which were submitted to a very good attendance of buyers. Owing to the smaller yarding than usual, competition was very keen and prices realized were I min HOs to !0s per head higher than at last sale. Jeffries and Co. report an entry of GO head of extra prime cattlo were submitted to auction at yesterday’s Aruhiira Sale. AVATAROA SPRING SALE. Alessrs W. Jeffries and Co. report having held their annual spring sale on the 2fitli. October, their entry comprising 111 head store cattle. In consequence of the total entry being much below that of previous years, there was keen demand for all classes of stock ana prices were easily the best for several vears. G od grown steers made up to £lO 7s fid. forward bullocks making to £l3. heifers to £!) 2s fid, and forward cows made the same money.
