SUNDAY GOLF. LONDON, Oct. 29. An attempt by residents ol Aberdovey to prevent Sunday golf by overcrowding tbe course, and rendering play impossible, bad a sequel in the Chancery Court, in an action by the golf club, at which the judge restrained sixteen named residents from going on to tbe course, pending trial. An all'adavit on behalt ol the residents set out that, they objected in religious grounds, and sued lor tin dismissal ol the application. The Judge retorted that he did no; see why they could not exercise their religions scruples without annoying and interfering with goiters. MELBOURNE. Oct. 29. GOLF. 1928 CHAMPIONSHIPS. DUNEDIN, October 28. A special meeting of tbe New Zealand Golf Council to-dav decided that the 1928 New Zealand championships will be played on Balmacepvan links, Dunedin, provided certain alterations to boles seventeen and eighteen, as agreed upon by the Otago Golf Club and the council, are effected. The commencing date of the tournament will be approximately OetoberlO.
