BOXING VAGARIES. LONDON. Oct. 30. Trevor AVignall in the “Daily Mail” says the New Zealander, Keeney, is an outstanding instance of boxing’s vagaries. He received such poor support in London that lie was penniless and determined to give up the game and return home. His manager, Aim-timer suggested a United States visit and he is now one of the most successful and most popular boxers in the world. Tex Rickard said it is quite possible that Heeney Will fight Tunnev for the championship in 1928. Rickard regards Demp-
soy as the first challenger for the world’s title with Hceney and Sharkey bracketed ns the second. Rickard estimated that Heeney_ was worth twenty-five thousand sterling from the box office viewpoint before he beat Maloney. He now values Heeney at one hundred thousand.
