CHINESE TROUBLE.

CHINESE EXECUTION. SHANGHAI, Oct. 26. Ten youthful Chinese students, including a girl, were executed in Peking military headquarters for plotting disturbances in the capital to harrass the rear of the armies defending against Hie Shansi attack on Hankow and Nanking.
Armies in the Yangtsze Valley arc gradually drawing closer. .Meantime, firing on foreign warships and merchantmen continues. Several direct hits wore recorded. The United States destroyer was struck amidships by a four-inch shell. The destroyer replied with a hundred rounds demolishing the enemy forts. An unconfirmed report states n second United States destroyer was attacked by ifftflJcry and machine guns and sustained several casualties. Local American authorities are reticent, but admit several of their vessels were attacked. They refuse details.
