(Australia./ & N.Z. Cable Associate's!.) DOUBLE MURDER. BRUTAL CRIME IN SAMOA. SUVA, Oct. 2(1. The Tufua, from Apia, reports a brutal double murder at Lottopa, near Apia. A half-caste girl, Louisa Mugele, aged 14, and a Samoan girl, Fatamaln, aged 14, were hacked to death with a sharp knife by some unknown assailant. The girls were in their home alone, asleep, and the crime was discovered when the father returned at midnight. GENERAL PETLURA’S MURDER, PARIS, Oct. 20. The evidence for the defence in the Sehwarzband trial suddenly terminated yesterday, after further witnesses had declared Petlura responsible for pogroms. Counsel announced there was no need to call the remaining eighty witnesses. ENGLISH ROYAL FUNERAL. LONDON, Oct. 25. Lord Cambridge’s funeral will be on Saturday forenoon at St. George’s Chapel, Windsor, in the presence of the Royal Family, relatives, and personal friends only.
