(By Telegraph—Per Press Association. THE COUNCIL. AVELLINGTON, Oct. 22. The Legislative Council met at 2.30 The Apprentices Amendment Bill was reported from the Labour Bills Committee without amendment. The Guardianship of Infants Amendment Bill was received from the House of Representatives, and read the second tune pro forma, and referred to th Statutes Revision Committee. The Customs Amendment Bill was read a third time and passed. The Public Service Superannuation! Amendment Bill was put through its final stages and passed. The Council adjourned at 3 p.m. until 2.30 p.m. on Tuesday. THE HOUSE. The House met at 7.30 p.m. The Alinister of Public AVorks laid on the table the Public AVorks Statement and Estimates. The Hand Laws Amendment Bill and the Shops and Offices Amendment Bill j were read the third time. The House rose at 11.30 till 7.30 on I Alonday.
