ADOINCTON STOCK SALES. CHRISTCHURCH, Oct. 20. There were fairly large entries of stock at the meiropiitan weekly market at Addington yesterday. The entry of fat cattle was considerably smaller than at the previous sale, but, following on last week’s record entry, il was in excess of requirements, with the result that the sale was inclined to drag, and prices were easier by about 29s a bead on late rates. Tbe entry of fat sheep lilled eleven races, compared with nine and a half hist week. Mothers were cheaper than at the previous sale by Is to Is (3d a head, hut ewes sold at about late rates. The -ale. however, was .steady throughout. Tbe number of spring lambs forward was much smaller than was the ease a week ago. and prices in this section improved by fully 3s a head. There was more freedom about the sale of store sheep, hut this was due. not so much to any improvement in prices, as to the fact that vendors generally had less exalted ideas of values. Store cattle suitable for grazing were again in demand, but there was not much life ahblit the sale of dairy cattle. However. most of Hie diaries were of inferior quality.
