(Australian & N.Z. Cable Association.) WASHINGTON, Oct. 19. [ At the Radio Conference, the Australian and New Zealand delegates joined those of the United States and Canada in urging the Technical SubCommittee to accord the same official recognition to amateurs as to any other stations; and also urged that they ho allowed to use short wave lengths, and that the allocation of amateur wave lengths be agreed upon; also that each nation should determine amateur power according to its national conditions and desires. Messrs P. Brown. Rossa, Hull and A. Gibbs, spoke urging that the. value of the amateur bo recognised.
