TENNIS.
A meeting was held yesterday at the Hokitika Club’s Pavilion to set up a Committee to run the Twentieth Annual Championship and Handicap Tournament of the West Const Laivii Tennis Association; Five asphalt courts will he available and the proposed dates for the tournament are 25tii, 2fith and 27th Januaby* 1928. Programmes will be available as soon as the approval of the N.Z. Latvii Tennis Association is received. The following joint committee of Hokitika and All Saints’ Clubs was elected:— President: Dr. J. B. Baird. Vice-Presidents : Messrs E. Partridge and D. J. Evans. Committee; Messrs L. Gooch, H. F. Cooke, J. Butiand aiid E. Lakiri, M isses M. E. Moore, R. Crquhart, L. Evans, O. Stapleton. Secretary: Mr J. W. Morris. Assistant-Secretary: Mr J. Butlarkl: Referee: Mr E. Partridge.
