ARAIICRA STORE CATTLE SALE. AV. JEFFRIES AND CO.'S REPORT. The annual spring sale of surplus store cattle from the Arahura Valley district was held in these yards yesterday when 154 head of cattle wore submitted to public competition. The yarding comprised some excellent. framed 3 and 4 year old bullocks and a considerable number of o and 3 year old bullocks. There was a very large attendance of buyers. and competition was exceedingly :brisk throughout the sale, a total clearance .being effected. The fop price of the day for 5 shorthorn cross store bullocks was obtained by D. C. Finch, they realising the excellent price of £lO Is, while the same vendor for a single forward bullock obtained £l2 15s. flood 2 and 3 year old steers of the right colour and frame made from £G 10s to £0 1- s (id, while 2 year olds made from £4 5s to £0 10s. 18 months old steers made from £2 15s to £4 10s Gd. Good framed empty cows made from £3 2s to £0 2s Gd. Poorer conditioned animals making from £1 17s Gd to £3 10s.
