(By Telegraph—Per Press Association.) THE HOUSE. WELLINGTON. Oct. 17. Tn tlie House this evening, the Motor Vehicle Act' Amendment Bill and Petroleum Bill "ere introduced hy Governor’s message. The Minister of Public Works explained the former Bill dealt mainly with the simplification of registration of motor vehicles, and the Minister of Mines stated the Petroleum "Bill gave greater rights to companies and security to property owners in connection with search for petroleum. There was no provision for a special subsidy. The House accepted amendments made by the Legislative -Council in tlie Counties Amendment Bill. Legislative Amendment Bill and War Disabilities Removal Bill. Tlie House rose at 11.08 p.m. till 2.30 p.m.
