RIFLE SHOOTING.
(Australian it N.Z. Cable Association. SYDNEY. October 17. Masefield, Captain of the Now Zealand rifle team, says that during the first few days, the heavy changing mirages and the heal troubled the team, but when they became used to the heat, they adapted themselves to shoot quickly under -the changing conditions, and improved considerably. The team arc particularly pleased with their efforts in. the King’s and the Commonwealth matches. The National It ille- Association has been untiring in its efforts to entertain the team, and gave them a wonderful time. Masefield and most of the team will return to New Zealand by tbe Marama. sailing on Friday for Wellington.
