(Australian &. N.Z. Cable Association.) MELBOURNE, Oct. 15. 11. Borer won the Victorian profes. sional golf championship with a score of 300. DALGLEISH SHIELD. GREY,MOUTH, Oct. 16. The Dalgleish Shield was competed for at the Oinoto Links yesterday, the Shield being won by the Westport A. team, with Greymouth A. team second. The following were the Westport scores:—A. Sime, 75, 71—146; Scott, 88, &5—173 Lovell, 86, 84—170; Bonnington 82, 84—166. Total 655. Greymouth scores were:—McCarthy, 74, 50—154; Meldrum 84, 86—170 ; Recall 85, 90—175; Wilde 83, 90—173. Total , 672. At the end of the first 18 holes, Grevmouth’s total was 326, five strokes ahead of Westport, but after that Westport assumed a big lead. An outstanding feature of the day’s play was Sime’s brilliant efforts over the first 9 holes, he doing them in 30. In a club match, Greymouth beat Westport 7—6.
