STATE FOREST SERVICE
AIR AfcARTHUR NOT SUPPORTED. WELLINGTON, Oct. 11. “After reading the recent criticism of the State Forest Service by the president of the Timber Growers' Association, Afr AY. AlcArthur, the only conclusion I can come to is that he is speaking for himself,’” said Air H. At Horrocks, of Auckland, who is attorney for a large Australian forestry company operating in New Zealand.
“I appreciate the policy of the service toward mil forestry companies. T have always found the Department most helpful and willing to assist with technical advice,” added Air Horrocks. “Our company is a. member of the Timber Growers’ Association and we are entirely satisfied with the operations of the service. I wish to dissociate the company for which 1 speak from the statement made by-. Air McArthur that there was grave dissatisfaction with the operations of the service. It is contrary to fact as far as my company is concerned.”
