BOWLING.
The official opening of the Hokitika Bowling Club takes place to-morrow (Saturday) afternoon at 2.45 p.m. All members and visitors who intend taking part in the play are requested to be in attendance at 2.30 p.m., when sides will be chosen by the President and Vice-President for the annual match. Afternoon tea will be served, and a cordial invitation is extended to the general public to be present.
The Associated Board of Music will hold their Musical Examination on Saturday, November 12th. Mr H. E. Monte will be the examiner.
The shareholders of the Araliura Dairy Factory are notified that the meeting convened for to-morrow (Saturday) October Bth. will not be held until Saturday week, October loth.
Anglican services on Sunday next will be: Kokatahi, Holy Communion 10.15 o’clock and Ivoiterangi 11.30. The flower service arranged for Sunday next at Hokitika is postponed until the following Sunday morning. The ball in the Public Hall. Kanieri, on Monday night, October 24th. to commemorate the opening of the Kanieri Tennis Club Court promises to be a pronounced success from every point of view. As Labour night is a popular night for dancing a crowded attendance is expected. The music will l>e supplied by the Black Hand Orchestra, which has merited fame for dance music. Patrons are urged to come along and have a good evening’s enjoyment.
