STATEMENT FOR AUGUST 1927
The amount paid out in settlement of new loans was £312,079, making a total of £1,193,644 since the beginning of the present financial year on Ist April last. Additional new loans were granted to the amount of £140,850, making the total new loans on hand awaiting completion £607,988, while loans offered being less than the full advances applied for amount to £241,815 —a grand total of £909.803. Applications for further loans amounting to £279,888 are receiving consideration. New business continues to lie very| satisfactory, and the value of the es-1 tntes accepted for administration during the month was £531,554, making a total of new business since Ist April last of £2,603,156. This represents a very substantial increase on the figures for the same period of the previous year. Additional new wills deposited for safe custody numbered 530, and the total now held is 55,420.
