ARAHURA FAT STOCK SALE.

The fortnightly fixture at these yards was held yesterday when an excellent entry of South Westland cattle was submitted to a full bench of buyers. Competition varied at different stages of the sale and it was again noticeable that the heaviest cattle sold cheapest. Top price for the day was recorded for two Hereford bullocks on account of J. Condon and Sons, which realised £lB 10s each. Heavy ox beef ranged from *36s to 40s per hundred, medium weights from. 38s to 445, prime heifers 3Gs to 40s, cow beef from 34s to 37s fid. A total clearance being at these prices.

Messrs W. Jeffries and Co. sold as follows:—On account of Messrs J. Condon and Sons: 2 bullocks at £lB 10s, 1 at £l7 12s Gd, 2 at £l7, 2 at £ls 15s, 3 at £ls, 2 at £l4, 3 at £l3 10s, 3 heifers at £lO 7s Gd, 3 cows at £ll 17s Gd, 3 at £ll 15s. 3 at £lO ss, 1 at £9 17s Gd. On account Messrs Sullivan Bros. 2 bullocks at £l* ss, 2 at £l6, 2 at £ls 17s Gd. 2 at £ls 15s, r at £ls 7s Gd, 2 at £ls. 2 at £l4 ss. 2 at £l4. 4 at £l3 10s. 1 heifer at £l3 2s 6d. 2 at £l2 ss, 2 at £ll 12s pd. 1 at £ll. 2* at £lO 10s, 1 cow at £ll 2s Gd 1 at £9 10s.
