STRIKE SETTLING. 'Received this dav at 9.30 a.m.) NEAV YORK, Oct. 3. Coal operators and miners alike believe the strike settlement which is effective throughout Illinois is likely to influence a settlement in other centres. There are 72.000 already returned to work in New York and Illinois but the situation in Indiana, Ohio, lowa, and Missouri is not affected by the strike.
