VOTING BY HOSPITAL PATIENTS
The Legislature Amendment Bill was read a second time by the Legislative Council last week, and referred to the Statutes Revision Committee. The Leader of the Council (Right Hon. Sir Francis Bell) mentioned that special provision for voting should be made to meet the ease ot persons in hospitals, but no agent should be allowed in the hospital, the attesting witnesses in such eases being the nurses or doctors. The Hon. V. H. Reed expressed the hope that every care would he taken to prevent hospital patients being disturbed by canvassers at election times.
