THE FIGHTERS’ CONDITION. (Australian & N.Z. Coble Association.) (deceived this day at 0.30 a.m.) NEW YORK, Sept. 23. Chicago reports state late betting shows. Tunncy i.s favourite over Dempsey, but comparatively little money is being wagered to-day. It i.s expected, however, that large sums will be forthcoming shortly before the fight. It is estimated that fifty million persons in United States alone will hear the description of the bout over the radio. Public opinion appears to regard the men’s chances as about even. Tunncy is in better shape than ever. He has a slightly injured eye, but it is not serious. . Dempsey’s condition has greatly improved. He has been long in training, has had two tough fights and i.s not harrassed bv legal annoyances.
