FIGHT FINANCES. (Received this day at 9.30 a.m.) NEW YORK, Sept. 20. At Chicago, Federal Judge Carpenter dismissed Rev. Elmer Williams’s application for an injunction against the Dempsey-Tunnev fight (cabled yesterday). Meantime, as the hour of the bout approaches, it i.s reliably learned that file receipts are not likely to be so large as originally anticipated. Tex Rickard once hoped to rake in three million dollars, but one of his confidants now states the promoter will be satisfied if the figure reaches two and a-half millions. It is still certain the fight will make a reasonable amount of money for Rickard, Tunney and Dempsey, but the chances are that,eac-li will receive less than expected. The fact that Dempsey’s and Tunney’s shares ai’ready are allocated is not likely to prevent a readjustment.
