WAIHO NOTES
(From A Correspondent.)
Mr A. Graham and Aliss M.‘Graham departed on holiday last week.- They intend touring the North Island. An American tourist here last weekon being shown the hot springs remarked: “Well, t-ni.s Xoo Zealand, its too much lilce Hell for me.” An elderly lady in the party immediately turned around and said: “My word, you Americans you have travelled.” The rivers down this way are getting well stocked with w hitebaiters. (I don’t know about the whitebait), about half a dozen going down as far as Bruce Bay. Miss E. Richardson and Mr A. Browne returned on Sunday after a very pleasant six days. They left on Tuesday morning going down the 'Wuiho River to the sea, along the sea beach to Okarito, then taking the road around the Forks to Waiho. I have done that trip myself on horseback and can recommend that trip to nnvone whether walking or riding.
