TriKUH is a feeling of certainty prevailing that tile daylight saving measure now liefore Parliament will become (lie law of the land in the very near future and operate during the coming summer There has been a long: drawn out contest and a waste of much valuable time. When the law operates it will soon be manifest bow far all flic delay (and the cost involved) has been justified. Here on the Coast, farmers and millers make the most of the daylight, and the change will not be a very great novelty to them. Many industrial workers have anticipated the change already, while even (lovornmcnt stalf.s since the change of the war period, have anticipated the alteration by starting work half an hour earlier to “save daylight” in the late af to rnoon. The change is therefore not likely to boa, very dislocating one. Folk probably, as experience wifT prove, 'will most likely bo disposed to use up a little more time at nights. They will not lie inclined to be deceived very readily by the retiring Four when the clock face shows artificial time. But like, most tilings, people will soon adapt themselves to the inevitable change, and then folk will be wondering why all the fuss has been made about one of-the trivialities of life.
