EARTHQUAKE INCIDENT. The recent earthquake wsa responsible for an amusing incident. Three men were smoking, when the shock came. One dropped his cigarette with—well—surprise; one found himself chewing the end of his; while the third went on complacently puffing away as though nothing untoward had happened. “ You fellows are suffering from nerves,” the latter remarked. “Most men do nowadays,” said one of the others. “ Too much smoking! ” “STo fear!
