Chicago reports that the Middle Western States are suffering from the hottest September ever on record. Many deaths have occurred, the temperatures ranging from 90 to 108. There have been eight deaths registered in Chicago alone. Many school's in Illinois, Indiana and Missouri have closed owing to the intense heat.
