THOUGHTS FOR THE TIMES
Coming TocETirr.n. M hat appears to lie a definite .step towards an understanding between the Liberal and Nationalist political forces is the announcement made to-night of the selection of the candidate to contest the Raglan bye-election in the Liberal interests. Mr Thomas Parker, of Ngaruawahia. has been chosen as the Liberal nominee and it is sard there will be no Nationalist candidate. Political observers interpret this circumstance as an indication that the Nationalists and Liberals may eventually join up. —Press Comment.
