Strenuous even play followed and the standard of hockey greatly improved. Huahine commenced to regain the ascendancy and a forward rush forced Southland to concede a corner, from which Miss D. Foreman shot a great goal. In the final stages of the game Southland were the better team, missing golden opportunities to goal by bad Vuck. There was no further score and the game ended—Huahine 2: Southland 1.
